Akhilesh Yadav
Bijnor: Akhilesh Yadav, the president of the Samajwadi Party, stated on Saturday that this year’s Lok Sabha election is about protecting the Constitution and democracy. Farmers have protested against now-scrapped agricultural rules for over two years, and the BJP promises to reinstate them if it gets 400 Lok Sabha seats, he claims.
Yadav was speaking at a rally in favour of Deepak Sahni, the SP Lok Sabha candidate from Bijnor.
This election is about saving the Constitution and democracy. At one point in time, ‘Samudra manthan’ (sea churning) occurred. The SP head stated that it was time for ‘samvidhan Manthan’.
He went on to say that there are individuals who want to protect the Constitution and others who want to abolish it.
“On the 2020-21 farmers’ protest,” Yadav stated, “Our farmers protested for nearly two years, and the government did everything to stop them. However, when the 2022 (Uttar Pradesh) assembly elections approached, they panicked and repealed farm legislation. If these individuals gain 400 Lok Sabha seats, ” he claims they would reinstate agricultural laws, seize farmers’ products, and sell them to businessmen.”
The SP leader further criticised the BJP for referring to the opposition INDIA bloc as an “INDI alliance.” “These folks can’t even read the name INDIA, so who will vote for them? he remarked. The Bijnor Lok Sabha constituency will see a triangular battle, with SP’s Saini up against Chandan Chauhan of the RLD, a BJP ally, and BSP’s Chaudhary Vijendra Singh.
