National Security Adviser (NSA) Ajit Doval met Wang Yi, Director of the Office of the Central Foreign Affairs Commission and a member of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Political Bureau. The meeting took place in Saint Petersburg, Russia, on the sidelines of the BRICS High-Ranking Officials Meeting on security matters.
Focus on LAC Disengagement
The discussions focused on resolving the remaining issues along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) between India and China. Both sides reviewed recent efforts and emphasized the need for urgency in achieving complete disengagement in the unresolved areas. NSA Doval stressed that peace and stability along the border are crucial for normalizing bilateral relations.
