Heat and humidity to increase further in Uttar Pradesh from May 17

Kanpur : The Meteorological Department has predicted that from May 17, there will be more heat, sunshine and humidity. The sky will be clear in North India, due to which the sunlight will fall directly. Due to all these reasons, the temperature will increase, the heat will increase and there is no relief anywhere in the coming week. Dr. S.N. Sunil Pandey, meteorologist of Chandrashekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology, Kanpur, said on Wednesday that in such a situation, whenever someone ventures outside the house, he should carry drinking water, cap, towel and umbrella.

Moreover children, elders and sick people should avoid going out of the house and take precautions.
What to do in case of extreme heat and humidity? Dr. Pandey suggested people to stay hydrated by drinking plenty of fluids, especially water. Stay cool by wearing a hat, light coloured and loose fitting clothes and go to an air conditioned place if necessary. Always wear sunscreen that protects against both UVA and UVB rays, as well as protective clothing, a hat, and sunglasses. Reapply sunscreen every two hours, even if it’s waterproof. And stay away from the sun from 10 am to 3 pm. Avoid going in the sun from 12 pm to 3 pm. The meteorologist said that avoid staying outside for a long time, avoid going out of the house between 12 pm and 3 pm. Refrain from venturing outside the house unnecessarily.
Know how to protect yourself from heat: To avoid heat, increase the use of fluids, buttermilk, wood apple juice, raw mango pana, sattu sherbet, lemon water, along with this, drink 8 to 10 glasses of water during the summer season. Similarly, consumption of watermelon, melon, cucumber and onion is necessary. However, keep in mind that consumption of ice cream or ice should be avoided in summer. After consuming fruits, do not drinks water immediately, otherwise it can prove fatal. Control the use of salt in summer.

Dr. Pandey told that in humidity and heat, it is most important that salt should be used very sparingly in food, otherwise use of excess salt leads to dehydration in the body and along with this; it has a great impact on blood pressure. Along with this, during summer and humidity, use light and cotton clothes, so that the sweat coming out of the body dries quickly and you can protect yourself from the strong sun.
