Adani Vidya Mandir Ahmedabad (AVMA) has secured a place among the top schools in the country, according to the latest ratings released by the National Accreditation Board for Education and Training (NABET) on Wednesday.
AVMA, established in 2008 by the Adani Foundation, caters to academically gifted yet economically underprivileged students. It achieved an outstanding score of 232 out of 250, under NABET’s annual quality ratings issued by the Quality Council of India (QCI).
Academic Excellence and Awards
The school delivered a stellar performance in the CBSE Class XII exams with a 100% pass rate, and 95 students scoring in the first division. Alvina Roy and Jay Bavskar topped the school with 96.7% each in the Humanities and Science streams, respectively.
In February, AVMA was honoured as the ‘National Winner’ in the category of Underprivileged/Right to Education (RTE) implementation and received the ‘Samagra Shiksha Award’ from Dr Sukanta Majumdar, Minister of State for Education.
Global Collaborations and Sustainable Curriculum
AVMA integrates the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), adopted by the United Nations in 2015, into its curriculum. The school also collaborates with prestigious organisations such as UNICEF, Gujarat Science Centre, and the National Institute of Education, Singapore to equip students with global competencies.
The school’s commitment to holistic and values-based education is evident in its global accolades, including the International Green School Award by Green Mentors at Cornell University, New York, and its certification as a ‘Kindness School’ by Random Acts of Kindness.
Adani Vidya Mandir schools serve over 3,000 students across four campuses located in Ahmedabad and Bhadreshwar (Gujarat), Surguja (Chhattisgarh), and Krishnapatnam (Andhra Pradesh).
