Former Congress leader and spiritual figure Acharya Pramod Krishnam has sparked a political row by making a scathing remark against Rahul Gandhi, branding the Congress MP as the “King of the Ill-Mannered.”
Speaking to the media, Acharya Pramod Krishnam alleged that Rahul Gandhi’s behaviour and communication style reflect a lack of proper upbringing.
He remarked, “Rahul Gandhi’s basic upbringing is flawed. His language, speech, and behaviour all show rudeness. He always makes senseless remarks and fails to respect anyone.”
Krishnam further intensified his criticism, claiming that the Congress leader’s attitude stems from deeper personal shortcomings. “There is a problem with Rahul Gandhi’s upbringing, so he does not know how to respect others. He is indeed the king of the ill-mannered,” he added.
Political Context and Fallout
Acharya Pramod Krishnam, who earlier belonged to the Congress party, has frequently criticised the party’s leadership since leaving it. His latest remarks come at a time when Rahul Gandhi continues to lead opposition efforts under the INDIA bloc, making the statement politically charged.
Party sources have so far refrained from responding officially, though Congress insiders suggest Krishnam’s comments reflect personal grievances rather than political reasoning.
The remarks have ignited discussions across social media, with many users divided over Krishnam’s choice of words. Supporters of Rahul Gandhi criticised the tone of the statement, calling it disrespectful, while others defended the spiritual leader’s right to express his opinion.
Observers note that the episode highlights ongoing tensions within former Congress circles, as disenchanted leaders increasingly voice criticism of the party’s top brass.
As of now, neither Rahul Gandhi nor the Congress leadership has issued a response to Acharya Pramod Krishnam’s remarks.
