Spiritual leader and former Congress member Acharya Pramod Krishnam publicly lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his steadfast commitment to India’s development and cultural heritage.
Pramod stated that the Prime Minister’s every action and thought symbolises devotion to the nation, underscoring a life dedicated to public service rather than personal gain.
Before a major temple foundation event in Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh, Pramod spoke publicly. He described PM Narendra Modi as a leader whose contributions go beyond routine politics. He added that PM Modi embodies the spirit of national service.
Acharya Pramod emphasised that PM Modi’s leadership focuses on both modern advancement and preservation of cultural identity.
The occasion in question was the foundation stone laying ceremony of the Kalki Dham Temple, a significant project intended to become a spiritual centre for devotees nationwide.
PM Narendra Modi attended the ceremony at the invitation of Acharya Pramod Krishnam, who chairs the Kalki Dham Trust.
Pramod made several public statements that conflicted with the Congress party’s official positions. These remarks focused on participation in cultural ceremonies.
As a result, the party expelled him in early 2024, including matters like the Ayodhya Ram Temple consecration.
The party cited indiscipline and anti‑party commentary as reasons for his six‑year suspension.
Despite the disciplinary action, Pramod expressed continued admiration for PM Modi’s approach. He thanked the Prime Minister for accepting the Kalki Dham invitation and praised his efforts to integrate spiritual values within broader national development goals.
Political analysts note that such endorsements may influence public perceptions ahead of future electoral cycles.
