The Akhil Bharatiya Akhara Parishad (ABAP) has congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on becoming the longest-serving head of an elected government in India.

Reflecting the sentiment of the Sant community, he expressed confidence that the country will continue progressing while preserving its cultural ethos.
He added that the leadership has ensured a balance between development and tradition.
Prime Minister Modi recently achieved this historic benchmark by completing 8,931 days in office. He surpassed former Sikkim Chief Minister Pawan Kumar Chamling, who held the record with 8,930 days.
The record combines PM Modi’s tenure as Gujarat Chief Minister from October 7, 2001, to May 21, 2014, and his ongoing tenure as Prime Minister since May 26, 2014.
This marks over two decades of uninterrupted leadership in public office.
