AAP Leader Sanjay Singh Granted Bail in Liquor Policy Case

The Supreme Court granted bail to AAP leader Sanjay Singh in the Delhi excise policy case, following the Enforcement Directorate’s (ED) decision not to oppose the bail plea. The ED expressed no objection to Singh’s bail in the case.

A three-judge bench comprising Justices Sanjiv Khanna, Dipankar Datta, and PB Varale dictated the order, emphasizing that the concession made by the probe agency should not set a precedent.

This development marks Singh as the first senior AAP leader to be granted regular bail in the money laundering case associated with the now-defunct liquor policy.

The case stemmed from allegations related to the Delhi excise policy, with Singh being implicated in a money laundering investigation. However, the ED’s decision not to contest his bail plea signifies a significant turn of events in the legal proceedings.

Singh’s bail approval indicates a shift in the legal landscape surrounding the case. The decision by the apex court, coupled with the ED’s stance, underscores the complexities and nuances of the ongoing legal battle.

As the case unfolds, it is anticipated that further developments may occur, shaping the trajectory of the investigation and potentially influencing future legal proceedings. The granting of bail to Singh serves as a notable development in a case that has garnered considerable attention and scrutiny.
