
Pt Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Sanatan Dharma Vidyalaya, Kanpur, hosted a grand annual cultural event on Tuesday, highlighting the theme ‘Viksit Bharat 2047’ through an array of performances reflecting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for a developed India.
The Chief Guest at the event was Awanish Kumar Awasthi, Advisor to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
The school’s talented students brought India’s developmental aspirations to life through thematic dance and drama performances, portraying a futuristic vision of the nation in 2047.
Each act underscored the idea of a self-reliant, educated, and digitally empowered India. It embodied the Prime Minister’s vision of a ‘Green and Smart’ nation.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Guest Awanish Kumar Awasthi remarked that ‘Viksit Bharat 2047’ is not merely a slogan, but a symbol of collective resolve.
He further added, “This theme represents our united commitment to make India one of the world’s leading powers by the centenary of independence. The confidence reflected in these young artists’ eyes will shape the foundation of a new India.”
Cultural Traditions Meet Modern Aspirations
The event commenced with lamp lighting and a Ganesh Vandana. It was followed by a series of performances depicting India’s progress in education, technology, and social unity.
The programme reflected the balance between the nation’s cultural roots and its modern ambitions.
Awanish Kumar Awasthi also urged students and parents to visit Kashi and the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. He described these places as living examples of India’s transformation and heritage.
In addition, he praised the school administration for creatively presenting the Prime Minister’s vision through art and culture.
The event witnessed the presence of a large number of parents, teachers, and students. Senior members from the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and its affiliated organisations also attended the function.
School Manager Neetu Singh, Aditya Shankar Bajpai, Kamal Kishore Gupta, and Principal Rakesh Ram Tripathi welcomed the Chief Guest and extended their gratitude to all attendees for making the celebration a success.
