19 Kg Commercial LPG Cylinder Price Raised To Rs 3,071.5 In Delhi

The price of a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder has increased by Rs 993 since Friday. This takes the cost to Rs 3,071.5 in Delhi. Domestic LPG cylinder prices, however, remain unchanged, benefiting around 33 crore users, according to Indian Oil Corporation.

This marks the third increase in commercial LPG rates since February 28, when the Israel-Iran conflict escalated.

Prices had earlier risen by about Rs 115 in early March, followed by an additional hike of nearly Rs 200 on April 1.

Additionally, the price of a 5-kg Free Trade LPG (FTL) cylinder, commonly known as a mini cylinder, has been increased by Rs 261 per cylinder. The revised price takes effect immediately.

Despite rising global energy costs, petrol and diesel prices have remained stable, the oil company said. It noted that there has been no revision in fuel prices affecting the general public.

Aviation turbine fuel (ATF) prices for domestic airlines have also left unchanged. State-owned oil companies have absorbed the increase in global fuel costs to shield airlines and passengers from price fluctuations.

The government said it introduced export levies, including Special Additional Excise Duty (SAED) and Road and Infrastructure Cess (RIC), from March 27, 2026. The move aims to ensure domestic availability of petroleum products. It seeks to discourage exports during the West Asia crisis.

These rates are reviewed every fortnight based on average international prices of crude oil and refined fuels.

The latest revision, effective May 1, 2026, sets the export duty on diesel at Rs 23 per litre. It sets the duty on aviation turbine fuel at Rs 33 per litre. The export duty on petrol remains unchanged at nil.

According to the Ministry of Finance, there is no change in excise duty rates on petrol and diesel meant for domestic consumption.
