It’s birthday time for Leonardo DiCaprio on the 11th of November. Bharat Express traces his amazing link to India and I am quite sure that Indian fans are going to love this one.
Born in Los Angeles in the year 1974 Leonardo DiCaprio only at the tender young tender age of 21 as Richard Dawson took our breath away and stole the hearts of millions all over the world.
Since then the Academy and Golden Globe Award winner has gone on to give amazing performances in films like The Great Gatsby, Catch Me If You Can, The Wolf of Wall Street, The Revenant among others.
An actor, producer and environmentalist Leonardo DiCaprio, is a talented name to reckon with, has consistently given remarkable performances and then taken considerable time off between films as a routine. He was last seen in the 2019 film, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood .
DiCaprio has a very interesting Desi connection and it starts right within his family.
Desi stepmother
Peggy Ann Faraarr who married Leonardo’s father George in 1995 has been a follower of Sikhism for years. She and Leonardo share a wonderful and cordial relationship and she has attended many of his events and premiers in the past.

Ishaan Khattar’s 10 secs special in ‘Don’t Look Up’
It was just 10 seconds of a cameo that Ishaan did in the 2021 Netflix film, Don’t Look Up. Ishaan is known to have been very excited to have shared screen space with the ‘GOAT Merly Streep and Leonardo’. This film too focused on climate and environmental changes, something that Leo is very passionate about.
‘Before The Flood’ documentary
In his environmentalist Avatar Leonardo DiCaprio had produced the NGC documentary ‘Before The Flood’. He was in India to shoot for the same back in 2015 and the film features Centre of Science’s Sunita Narain. The climate change documentary also features Leonardo.
Leonardo DiCaprio will be seen next in Martin Scortese’s film, Killers of the Flower Moon in 2023.
On his birthday wishing Leonardo a very happy birthday! As a return gift, I am sure his fans will love to see Leonardo DiCaprio in a desi avatar on screen someday.
