A news of an 11-year-old boy’s death from dengue disease emerged on Saturday. In another incident, 74 years old died of Zika virus. Gagan, a resident of Bengaluru’s Anjanapura neighborhood, is the deceased youngster.
11-years-old died on Friday night after receiving treatment for dengue fever at a private hospital in Bengaluru for a few days, according to the authorities. Gagan attended Chaitanya Techno School as a student.

In a another occurrence, on Friday night in Gandhinagar, in the Shivamogga region of the state, a 74-year-old man passed away following a Zika infection. The deceased was suffering from severe fever symptoms since June 19 and was diagnosed with the Zika virus on June 21. On Thursday, the hospital released him, and he was receiving treatment at home.
Dinesh Gundu Rao, the minister of health for Karnataka, had urged the state’s deputy commissioners to exercise caution regarding the spread of dengue infections and the Zika virus.
The state government has set a 600 rupee ceiling on dengue testing costs due to the increasing number of cases of the disease. Dengue incidences in Karnataka have increased by 42% from the previous year, with 6,187 confirmed cases of the virus found in the state. There have been six deaths between January and July 2.
