A video circulating on social media has falsely claimed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced a scheme providing a free motorcycle to every citizen linked to an Aadhaar card.
The clip, reportedly shared by a YouTube channel called ‘NEWNEWS-v6r’, quickly spread across online platforms.
Responding to the viral clip, Press Information Bureau Fact Check issued an official clarification stating that the video is fabricated.
Authorities confirmed that the footage was created using artificial intelligence and does not represent any genuine statement made by the Prime Minister.
The fact-checking unit emphasised that neither the central government nor Prime Minister Modi has announced any programme offering free motorcycles linked to Aadhaar cards.
Officials urged the public to verify claims before believing or sharing such content online.
