A notice claiming to have been issued by the Bank of India is circulating online and falsely stating that customers’ bank accounts will be blocked immediately due to non-updation of Aadhaar and PAN KYC.
The notice also asks customers to download and install an application named BOI Mobile Digital to update their KYC details.
PIB Fact Check has flagged the notice as fake and clarified that neither the Bank of India nor the Reserve Bank of India has issued any such notice.
