The film “Article 370,” headlined by Yami Gautam, made a solid debut at the domestic box office on its first day. According to early estimates from Sacnilk.com, the movie garnered ₹5.75 crore net in India. Produced by Jyoti Deshpande, Aditya Dhar, and Lokesh Dhar, the film hit theaters globally on February 23.

The film review praises Yami Gautam’s powerful portrayal, noting her impactful performance that adds gravitas to the film. Her no-nonsense demeanor, coupled with intense dialogue delivery and action sequences, stands out. Yami Gautam stars as an intelligence officer in the film “Article 370,” which centers around terrorism and corruption in Jammu and Kashmir. Yami’s character, part of the NIA, is tasked with a mission in Kashmir, given considerable autonomy. The government’s commitment to abolishing Article 370 adds to the film’s intrigue.
Aditya Dhar on Article 370
Apart from Yami Gautam, “Article 370” features Priyamani, Arun Govil, and Kiran Karmarkar in prominent roles. Recently, during the film’s trailer launch, Aditya expressed his firm belief in the film’s integrity, stating, “The intent of the film is correct, and as long as I am involved as a filmmaker, producer, and director, the intent will always remain true. If ever the intent falters, I will cease making films. Hence, I am indifferent to the opinions of agenda-driven critics.”

Furthermore, Aditya emphasized, “I typically don’t dwell on critics labeling it as propaganda. I believe it’s their preconceived notions that lead them to perceive the film in that light. ‘Article 370’ is a narrative centered around India. It encapsulates an extraordinary story, one of the finest I’ve come across,” Dhar stated during interactions with reporters at the film’s trailer launch event.
