The Final Showdown

The winning story started here

Surprisingly, his family did not support him to pursue cooking as a profession. Michelin Star Chef, Vikas Khanna discovered his social media profile which was full of amazing dishes. He went to Tinsuki to meet Nayan and also to persuade his father to let him choose the path he wants. From there, his culinary journey started, and the rest we all know is history.

Throughout his journey, he faced a lot of ups and downs but in the end, he came out stronger out of every single phase. He was calm and composed in most situations and only focused on his work. The result of all this is now known to the nation.

Even the winners have self-doubts

Talking about his big win, Nayanjyoti Saikia said, “I had a simple dream and that was to go to MasterChef India and cook, but now I feel like all my goals in life are complete. I not only go to MasterChef, but I also got the apron, and winning this intense food competition feels surreal! I had my self-doubts, but the three judges motivated us so much, especially Chef Vikas who has helped me so much since the day of the auditions.”

He further added, “The biggest thing is that my father is the happiest of them all; he was against the idea of seeing me cook but today, this achievement makes it all worth it. The opportunities that this platform has given us are unimaginable – being mentored by the best chefs in the industry, working in state-of-the-art food facilities, in professional kitchens, and with ingredients that I had never seen before has made me learn so much.”
