The management was horrified to discover numerous chairs damaged by the fans as the screening came to a close as a result of their excessive excitement and disruptive behavior.
For the screening of the “Leo” teaser, hundreds of fans gathered in front of Rohini Silverscreens in Chennai. They hurried onto the premises as soon as the gates were opened. However, Rohini Theatre had to take the brunt of it because of congestion and overly excited audience members. Vijay’s followers destroyed many seats beyond repair. Members of Vijay Makkal Iyakkam (VMI), in addition to fans, were there.
Prior to “Leo,” the management had asked for permission to host an outdoor event in their parking lot. The authorities, however, refused to grant them permission and requested that they hold the screening inside the premises. Police protection was additionally offered for the same.
