Actress Triptii Dimri has completed seven years in the Hindi film industry, marking a remarkable journey from her debut in “Poster Boyz” (2017) to her recent success in “Animal” (2023). Despite her early struggles, Triptii has established herself as a talented actress, earning the title of “National Crush.”
In an interview, Triptii shared her journey, revealing that she initially didn’t take herself seriously as an actor. Her debut film’s success led to her landing an audition for “Laila Majnu” (2018), which marked a turning point in her career. She began taking acting classes and developed a deeper understanding of her craft.
“I never took acting classes. I had no concept of good, bad, or overacting. So, after the first schedule of ‘Laila Majnu’ wrapped, I enrolled in acting classes, and that’s when I understood the world…”
Triptii expressed gratitude for the love and recognition she has received from fans, particularly for her roles in “Qala,” “Bulbul,” “Laila Majnu,” and “Animal.” She finds the title of “National Crush” wonderful but emphasizes that the love and appreciation she receives motivate her to work harder on her craft.
“I think it’s been an exciting and overwhelming journey. The kind of love I get from fans of ‘Qala’, ‘Bulbul’, ‘Laila Majnu’, and ‘Animal’ makes you feel good… When you start working on a project, you want people to associate with the characters you play. When that happens, it makes me feel really good,” she added.
Triptii On Her Comic Role
Her latest release, “Bad Newz,” marks her entry into comedy, a genre she finds challenging but exciting. Triptii aims to continue exploring different roles and genres, refusing to stay in her comfort zone to foster growth as an actor.
“As an actor, I feel it is very difficult to crack,” she stated.
“It’s my first time doing comedy, and I was very nervous initially because first times are always difficult. I was excited as well because, as an actor, I always want to try different things.”
Triptii emphasized that she doesn’t want to stay in a “comfort zone.”
