Omkareshwar holds immense religious importance as the fourth among the twelve Jyotirlingas dedicated to Lord Shiva.
Ancient Hindu scriptures such as the Skanda Purana, Shiva Purana, and Vayu Purana mention the shrine, highlighting its spiritual relevance.
Devotees believe that Lord Shiva rests at Omkareshwar after traversing the three worlds each day.
In line with this belief, the temple arranges special rituals, including Shayan Darshan and resting ceremonies for the deity.
On the professional front, Shreyas Talpade is preparing for his next release, ‘The India Story’, a socio-national drama. He will, however, share the screen with Kajal Aggarwal in the film.
Director Chettan DK has helmed the project, while Sagar B Shinde has written and backed it. The film is scheduled to release in cinemas on July 24 this year.
Producers Sumit Bagade, Anita Jadhav, Vinayak Saidani, Kalpesh Shah, Devyani Khorate, and Prem Joshi have backed the film, which will be released in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
