The much-anticipated teaser for Sam Bahadur was released by the movie’s producers today, October 13. The teaser, which lasts two minutes and 25 seconds, gives us a peek inside the fascinating world of India’s first Field Marshal. Vicky Kaushal completely embodies Sam Manekshaw in his behavior and gaze, making him appear unlikeable. We also catch a peek at Sanya Malhotra, who plays Indira Gandhi’s wife, and Fatima Sana Shaikh, who portrays the then-prime minister. While Sam was the commander of the Indian Army during the Indo-Pak War in 1971, there are several scenes of outright combat.

Meghna Gulzar and Bhavani Iyer wrote and directed the film Sam Bahadur. On the 107th anniversary of Sam Manekshaw’s birth, the movie was unveiled in 2021. On December 1, Sam Bahadur will be released in theaters alongside the Ranbir Kapoor-starring film Animal.
Sam Manekshaw
Sam Manekshaw served as the chief of staff of the Indian Army during the Indo-Pakistan War of 1971 and was the first Indian to be given the title of field marshal. During the almost four decades of his career, which started in World War II, he saw five wars. The government awarded him the Padma Vibhushan and the Padma Bhushan.
