Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has once again found himself the target of a death threat, as an unidentified caller demanded a staggering Rs 2 crore from the actor.

An unidentified caller communicated the threat through a series of WhatsApp messages to the Mumbai Police’s Traffic Helpline, prompting the Worli police to launch an investigation.

This latest threat comes after authorities arrested a man from Noida for making similar threats against the actor.

The incident marks a troubling trend, as it comes just weeks after another individual from Jharkhand, who claimed to be affiliated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, apologized after demanding Rs 5 crore from Khan.

Salman Khan’s connection to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang dates back to the 1990s, stemming from allegations of hunting a blackbuck, an animal that holds sacred significance for the Bishnoi community.

This historical context has led to heightened tensions and threats against the star.

In a disturbing turn of events, the situation surrounding Khan has become even more precarious following the assassination of his close friend, Baba Siddique, a prominent politician.

Assailants shot Siddique near his office in Nirmal Nagar, Bandra, on 12 October.

His death has sent shockwaves through the entertainment and political communities, given his close ties to the film industry and his influence in politics.

Baba Siddique was well-known for hosting extravagant Iftar parties, which attracted high-profile guests from the film industry.

Notably, it was at one of Siddique’s Iftar gatherings in 2013 that Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan famously reconciled after a long-standing feud that had divided Bollywood into rival factions.
