Bollywood actor Salman Khan has extended support to fellow actor Rajpal Yadav after the latter was allegedly humiliated during a recent awards ceremony.
Taking to X, Salman Khan shared a detailed note praising Yadav’s contribution to cinema and highlighting his enduring career. In his message, Khan acknowledged Yadav’s three-decade-long journey in the industry and emphasised the value he brings to films, stating that consistent work and recognition would continue to come his way regardless of external factors.

The controversy stems from a comment made by the event’s host, who referred to Yadav’s financial case during the ceremony. The remark alluded to fluctuations in the dollar rate while suggesting that repayment obligations remain unchanged, drawing attention to the actor’s past legal issues.
The comment was widely perceived as a snide reference to Yadav’s cheque bounce case, which led to criticism over the tone and appropriateness of the remark at a public event.
Legal Case And Actor’s Response
Rajpal Yadav was previously convicted in a cheque bounce case by the Delhi High Court following a complaint by Murli Projects Pvt Ltd over loan repayment defaults.
During court proceedings held weeks ago, Yadav acknowledged taking the loan and stated that he had been given multiple opportunities to comply. He referred to a 2016 order directing repayment of Rs 10.40 crore and mentioned submitting property papers worth Rs 28 crore as part of the process. He also claimed that he had repaid the amount.
The actor further argued that the opposing party was not interested in repayment but wanted legal action against him.
He maintained that he had already served his sentence and complied with legal requirements, asserting that the matter should be considered closed. He also said that Rs 22 crore was spent on the film, contrary to claims of Rs 5 crore by the other side.
