She also posted their statements on her account, in which they expressed their “thrill” at the prospect of remaking their all-time favourite films in a “new form and mould.” In their statement, Anushree and Abir said: “We are beyond excited to be embarking on this amazing journey of creating three of our all-time favourite films in a new form and mould. It is a tremendous duty since the renowned Gulzar Saab and Hrishi da, who have set the standards of filmmaking for future generations, produced the films Koshish, Bawarchi, and Mili, which are celebrated in India and around the world. These are the films we watched growing up, and the next generation should see them too to understand our rich cinematic heritage. We make an effort to do our best to meet the demands, shoulder the burden, and, most importantly, remake these films in a way that will appeal to a large audience.

The remakes will be shown with a “newer” and “modern outlook,” according to Sameer Raj Sippy, the grandson of renowned producer NC Sippy and son of Raj Sippy. “I feel films are about defining moments, interesting enough to share with people, so I think it’s time we bring classic stories into today’s world, with a newer and modern perspective,” he stated. That’s why it’s important to go back to Bawarchi, Mili, and Koshish. I wish to carry on the legacy that my grandfather Shri N. C. Sippy, my uncle Romu Sippy, and my father Raj Sippy have started as I come from a famous family of film producers and am motivated by the family company.
