OMG 2, starring Yami Gautam, Pankaj Tripathi, and Akshay Kumar, has opened in theatres. The story of the common man is told in the movie, which centres on Pankaj Tripathi’s portrayal of a father seeking justice for his kid. In the movie, Akshay Kumar’s character, who also serves as his mentor, helps the main character get through challenging moments. The actors were dissatisfied that the movie only obtained an “A” rating from the CBFC in India.

Pankaj Tripathi speaks on OMG 2’s ‘A’ certificate

Pankaj Tripathi stated this earlier this week during a group media interview: “We were startled when we received an A certificate. This is due to the fact that when filming a movie like Gangs Of Wasseypur, humein pata chal jaata hai ki “A” certificate milega nay nahi. We anticipated that it would receive an “Adults Only” certificate while we were creating it. However, we didn’t anticipate it would receive such a rating when we were filming OMG 2.

What did Pankaj Tripathi say?

“Iss film ko ‘A’ milna, surprise tha humare liye,” he continued. (For me, it was a surprise.) Thoda malaal hua ki jis age-group ko yeh film dekhni chaiye, 12–17 saal ke, woh nahi dekh payenge. The target audience of 12 to 17 years old won’t be able to view the movie, which left me a little dissatisfied.

Pankaj Tripathi applauded the UAE’s 12+ censor clearance, which was granted without any cuts. According to him, the CBFC should have a category between “U/A” and “A.” “I believe we ought to have something between the U/A and A categories,” he remarked. Similar to how the Censor introduced the Cinematograph (Amendment) Bill. Hopefully, they’ll also make some adjustments to censor certification.
