Munawar Faruqui Declines Participation In Bigg Boss OTT 2
Since the revelation of the second season of Bigg Boss OTT, curiosity has arisen among everyone to discover the participants who will be confined within the show. While a few names have already gained attention on social media, it was also reported that Munawar Faruqui, a Lock Upp winner and stand-up comedian, is also expected to compete. Munawar, however, has reportedly declined to take part in Bigg Boss OTT, if recent reports are to be believed.
Munawar Faruqui opts out of Bigg Boss OTT
According to Telly Chakkar, Munawar declined to compete in Bigg Boss OTT because he preferred to compete in the broadcast version of the competition. To date, there has been no formal confirmation of this, though. Rohit Shetty brought Munawar Faruqui on board for Khatron Ke Khiladi last year. He had to cancel the event at the last minute, though, due to visa-related complications.
Days after television star Fahmaan Khan’s approval by the producers, news emerged that Munawar Faruqui rejected the opportunity to participate in Bigg Boss OTT 2. “That’s not my territory, and I have no interest in reality TV. I think I’m not the right candidate for reality television. Myself I consider more of a performer and a creator, and I’d like to demonstrate what little talent I do have through the roles I portray and the stories I can conjure. The actor previously expressed to Pinkvilla that they were very interested and focused on the matter.
The rumour is that Gulshan Gautam, Archana Gautam’s brother, will also likely take part in Bigg Boss OTT. Salman Khan’s project is reportedly going to feature Jiya Shankar and Paras Arora, who previously collaborated on Kaatelal & Sons. As of now, no formal announcement has given a name. The recently revealed first promo of the reality show states that Salman Khan will host Bigg Boss OTT 2 instead of Karan Johar. “Bigg Boss OTT, main lekar aa raha hoon. Toh Dekhta Jaye India (Bigg Boss OTT, I’m returning. India, let’s keep watching,” Salman remarked in the advertisement.

Reports indicate that Bigg Boss OTT 2 will begin filming in the first week of June. The show has not yet disclosed the exact premiere date, but there is anticipation that Jio Cinemas will soon stream it.
