Shaktimaan trilogy

Mukesh Khanna shares an update on the Shaktimaan film

Amid this, Mukesh Khanna shared on his YouTube channel, Bheeshm, that the film is going to be made on an international level. He said, “The contract has been signed. Ye bohot bade level ki film hai. One film would cost 200–300 crore, and it would be made by Sony Pictures, the one that made Spider-Man. But it kept getting delayed. First, there was the COVID-19 pandemic, and I had announced on my channel too that the film was happening.

Sony Pictures shared the teaser last year

Sony Pictures dropped an announcement teaser last year and said in a statement that they had acquired the film adaptation rights to Shaktimaan to reimagine it as a superhero trilogy for the big screen. Mukesh Khanna said he is not allowed to reveal who has been signed on to headline the film but said he has been asked not to appear as Shaktimaan anymore to avoid “comparisons”.
