The futuristic film “Kalki 2898 AD,” directed by Nag Ashwin, is smashing box office records with staggering success. Headlined by Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, and Kamal Haasan, the movie has already grossed a remarkable Rs 300 crore worldwide. Recently, it set a new benchmark in ticket sales on a leading booking platform.

As of 1 pm, fans flocked to book tickets, resulting in over 90,000 tickets sold. By the latest update, BookMyShow reported an impressive sale of 93,770 tickets within just one hour. This surpasses the previous record held by Shah Rukh Khan’s “Jawan,” which allegedly sold 86,000 tickets in a similar timeframe earlier in the year.

“Kalki 2898 AD” draws profound inspiration from the epic Mahabharata, envisioning a dystopian future. The narrative centers around four pivotal characters: Sumathi (Deepika Padukone), a pregnant woman believed to carry the 10th avatar of Vishnu; Ashwatthama (Amitabh Bachchan), an immortal protector of the unborn child; Supreme Yaskin (Kamal Haasan), a formidable antagonist bent on the child’s demise; and Bhairava (Prabhas), a mercenary driven by profit.
