Jaanta Raja In Ghaziabad From October 22 To 28; Rajnath Singh To Attend Inauguration

The Divya Prem Sewa Mission, Haridwar, will organise the seven-day theatrical production Jaanta Raja at Suncity in Ghaziabad from October 22 to 28, showcasing the life, leadership, military strategies and cultural legacy of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has accepted the invitation to attend the inaugural ceremony as chief guest.

BJP National President Nitin Nabin and RSS All India Contact Chief Ram Lal are among the prominent invitees.

Former President Ram Nath Kovind, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta are expected to attend.

Addressing the press, Divya Prem Sewa Mission president Dr Ashish Gautam explained the choice of Ghaziabad as the venue. He said Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj visited Shri Dudheshwar Nath Mahadev Math after escaping imprisonment under Mughal ruler Aurangzeb.

According to Dr Gautam, Shivaji performed religious rituals there and resolved to establish Hindavi Swarajya. He emphasised the importance of familiarising young people with Shivaji’s ideals and the teachings of Jijabai and Samarth Guru Ramdas.

Daily performances will begin at 04:30 PM and last approximately four hours.

Around 250 artists will bring historical scenes to life using elephants, horses, camels, cannons, swords and other weapons.

Replicas of the Sinhagad, Pratapgad and Raigad forts will feature in the production.

Organisers expect around 15,000 visitors daily and have contacted universities and colleges across Delhi-NCR to encourage student participation.

More than 300 meetings and conferences have been held since preparations began in March 2026.

The event will support the mission’s service projects in Haridwar.

Daily Rudrabhishek rituals will continue at the venue until October 28, with several political leaders and spiritual figures expected to attend during the programme.
