‘I’ve been hearing a lot of subjects,’ Ranbir Kapoor on Ramayana and Kishore Kumar biopic

Ramayana and the Kishore Kumar biopic are apparently on Ranbir Kapoor’s forthcoming slate of films. The actor has spoken out about these projects.

Superstar Ranbir Kapoor, the nation’s love interest and the actor of the romantic comedy Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar this year, recently spoke with fans over a Zoom call and fielded a question regarding his next projects. According to reports, Nitesh Tiwari’s biopic on Kishore Kumar and the Ramayana will star Ranbir. Now that he has spoken out about it, the actor has stated that Ramayana is a significant production.

Nitesh Tiwari, known for Dangal and Chhichhore, will helm the masterpiece, which will also feature KGF actor Yash as Raavan and Sai Pallavi as Sita. Our sources also claim that Sunny Deol, who starred in Gadar, is in negotiations with the producers to portray Lord Hanuman.

In a Zoom conversation, Kapoor was questioned about his impending schedule. In a Zoom conversation, Ranbir Kapoor discussed the epic tale and the trilogy, saying, “Ramayana is such a project, which is such a big project where they need so much work to go behind it.”

“So, nothing has been finalized,” the actor continued. It should, I hope. However, I have been hearing a lot of topics as of late, but nothing.

Following Ramayana, the actor stated that he is currently hearing about many topics, including a biopic about the renowned Kishore Kumar. He also mentioned how excited he is for filmmaker Anurag Basu to narrate the script at the end of this month.

Speaking about the movie, Kapoor remarked, “Even the biopic that Anurag Basu has been working on about Kishore Kumar, He has been working on the script as well. He has spent several years working on it. That script will be presented to me at the end of this month. Kapoor went on to say that, after reading a few screenplays, he hadn’t found any that he particularly enjoyed.

For those who are unaware, the project was supposed to be completed long ago following Barfi’s success, but it was never able to get off the ground because of copyright disputes with Kishore Kumar’s family. It was recently announced in September 2023 that the problem had been fixed and that filmmaker Basu had resumed production on the project, which would now be produced by T-Series and Kishore Kumar Films.
