Shubh shows get canceled by different big brands
Shubh, a Punjabi artist living in Canada, is the subject of debate over claims that he supports Khalistan. The boycott was initiated by Shubh’s uploading of a distorted map of India on his Instagram story in January, which left out the Northeastern states, Punjab, and the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir.

The artist posted “Pray for Punjab” below the photo, for which he received a barrage of criticism on social media. Later, the musician removed the map and substituted a statement reading “Pray for Punjab” without a photo.
It started on September 19, when the electronics company BoAt decided not to support the singer’s upcoming tour of India. After receiving a boycott request on social media, BookMyShow decided to put off Shubh’s tour on September 20.

Shubh posted on Instagram on September 21 to express his disappointment about the India tour’s cancellation. He posted a three-slide letter explaining his reasoning, saying, “My intention in resharing the message on my account was just to pray for Punjab as there were reports of internet and energy outages across the entire state. There was no other intention, and I most surely had no desire to offend anyone.
From September 23 to 25, the artist was supposed to play in Mumbai as part of the Cruise Control 4.0 gathering.
Additionally, Shubh performed in cities like Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and New Delhi.
