“He Did Everything For His Family…,” Says Mimoh Chakraborty On Being Asked About Mithun Chakraborty’s ‘B-Grade’ Movies

Mimoh Chakraborty – Bollywood Actor Mithun Chakraborty’s son justified Mithun’s working in ‘B-grade movies’. He said Mithun did everything for him family as they needed money. Mimoh is the eldest son of the actor and his wife Yogita Bali. The couple also has an adopted daughter Dishani Chakraborty. Their younger brother Namashi Chakraborty recently made his Bollywood debut with Bad Boy, directed by Rajkumar Santoshi.

“He did it all for us,” says Mimoh on B-grade movies of Mithun Chakraborty

On being asked if he or Mithun Chakraborty himself regrets that the quality of his movies went down. As the actor was shooting a movie in 30 days by calling directors over to his hotel in Ooty. Minoh told media, “He did it for us, he did it for the hotel. Every unit from Bollywood movies, and also from the South, they’d stay at our hotel, so there was always an influx. He was doing it for the money, but it wasn’t like his producers were going into losses. If they were spending ₹70 lakh on a film, they were getting ₹1 crore in return. He never had any qualms. That was a phase like ‘I want to save for my children’. Even today, he’s doing Dance Bangla Dance, Dance India Dance… Everything he does, he does it for us.”

This statement depicted the respect that Mimoh has for his father. He went on to justify his father’s actions rather than accusing him of giving bad-quality of movies.

Mimoh proud of his father

Mimoh clearly stated that he is proud of his father. Mithun always did what was right for the family. He further highlighted that his mother has seen his father’s downfall more than he (Mimoh) did. He explained,  “Honestly, my mother saw his downfalls more than us. When we were kids, dad was a superstar. Mom would tell us that whenever he delivered a flop, he would go into depression. He was doing four shifts a day at that time, spending two hours each on each set.” He further added that Mithun was the person who brought the concept of Vanity in Bollywood .
