Gurmeet Choudhary Feels A Deep Bond With ‘Bihari Family’ As He Speaks Maithili

In a video posted on Instagram on Sunday, actor Gurmeet Choudhary—who has been getting good reviews for his freshly launched streaming series “Commander Karan Saxena”—spoke in his native Maithili.

He spoke Maithili in the video and emphasized how committed he was to the series’ lead part.

The actor said: “A lot of people from Bihar are today in the administrative forces, they’re IAS, IPS, RAW agents, and in diverse roles.”

Before marketing his show and pushing his Bihari followers to watch it on OTT platforms, Gurmeet urged them to work hard.

The actor captioned the video: “Today’s Mood: Speaking in my Maithili language, feeling connected with my Bihari family.”

Native speakers of Maithili originate from the Mithila region, which includes the Nepalese Koshi and Madhesh Provinces, as well as portions of Bihar and Jharkhand.

The martial artist Gurmeet was born in Bhagalpur, Bihar. He has starred in numerous well-known shows during the course of his two-decade television career.

In reference to his television program “Commander Karan Saxena,” the plot centers on a RAW agent negotiating political scheming and treachery.

Gurmeet plays the part of Commander Karan Saxena, a character created by Amit Khan.
