A five-foot-long ‘Dhamin’ snake, commonly known as the Indian rat snake, was found inside Bollywood actor Salman Khan’s residence at Galaxy Apartment in Mumbai and was safely rescued without any injuries.
Snake rescue expert Vicky Dubey was alerted about the incident by a police constable on duty. He rushed to the spot and safely rescued the snake, taking the necessary precautions.
The matter was also reported to the Bandra West Police Station and the Forest Department control room.
Officials confirmed that the situation remained fully under control throughout the operation, and a diary entry regarding the incident was later made at the police station.
The ‘Dhaman Jatika’ or Indian rat snake is a commonly found non-venomous snake species across India. It primarily feeds on rats, frogs, lizards, and other small animals, making it harmless to humans in most situations.
The snake is known for its speed and length and is often spotted in residential or green areas, especially during warmer weather.
