The release date of Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut’s next movie, Emergency, has been moved to 2024, she said on Monday. The movie will now be released on a new date, which will be announced soon. The initial release date for the movie was set for November 24, 2023.

Ranaut made the announcement on Twitter. “Dear friends, I have an important announcement to make,” she wrote in her letter. The result of all of my life’s experiences and artistic earnings is emergency movies. For me, the movie Emergency serves as a test of my personal values and character. We were all inspired by the overwhelming response that our teaser and other units received from everyone.

“Everywhere I go, people ask me when Emergency will be released, and my heart is overflowing with gratitude. Due to several changes in my back-to-back film release schedule and an overly busy last quarter of 2024, we have decided to postpone the release of Emergency to the next year (2024). Please be patient as we announce the new release date. We appreciate your interest in and enthusiasm for the movie. Kangana Ranaut, yours truly,” she said.

Ranaut is rumoured to have delayed the release of Emergency in order to avoid a conflict with Salman Khan’s Tiger 3, which is set for release on November 12, 2023.

The story of former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi and the emergency she imposed on the nation in 1975 is the basis for the movie. The movie is anticipated to be a gritty political drama that examines the underbelly of Indian politics.
