The first instalment of the Ranveer Singh-led Dhurandhar series will return to cinemas shortly before the arrival of its sequel. The film will be shown in theatres again as part of a special re-release planned ahead of the second instalment.
The popular blockbuster will receive a worldwide theatrical re-release. It will be screened on nearly 500 screens globally, including around 250 theatres in India starting March 12 and another 250 overseas beginning March 13.
Re-releases of well-known films occasionally occur in India, but worldwide re-releases of Hindi movies are still uncommon. This decision highlights the widespread popularity of the Dhurandhar franchise and the strong interest surrounding the upcoming sequel.
Strong Demand in North America
Across North America alone, the film is expected to return to almost 185 cinema screens.
The large-scale release reflects the high level of anticipation for the next chapter of the story.
To further build excitement, Dhurandhar: The Revenge will hold special premiere screenings in the United States and Canada on March 18. These previews will take place one day before the film’s official global release.
Most of these premieres will be hosted on Premium Large Format (PLF) screens. These theatres offer massive wall-to-wall displays, high-end projection systems, immersive audio technologies such as Dolby Atmos and comfortable luxury seating.
Several of the mid-week preview screenings have already sold out, indicating strong audience demand.
Presented by Jio Studios, Dhurandhar: The Revenge is a production of B62 Studios and is directed by Aditya Dhar.
The film will arrive in cinemas worldwide on March 19, 2026, coinciding with the festivals of Gudi Padwa and Ugadi and just ahead of Eid.
The spy-action thriller has been written, directed and produced by Aditya Dhar, while Jyoti Deshpande and Lokesh Dhar are also attached as producers.
The movie will be released in five languages: Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.
