The approach dampens the momentum built around the sequel, especially after the first part witnessed a historic box-office turnout. The teaser showcases visuals marked by extreme violence, gore, explosions and gunfire.
Ranveer Singh is seen reprising his titular role as an Indian spy infiltrating the criminal nexus of the ISI and the Pakistan underworld, portrayed once again in a larger-than-life avatar.
Dhurandhar 2 is slated for release in four Indian languages and will take off directly from where the first part concluded. The music of Dhurandhar had earlier received unanimous praise across sections of society.
Given the audio-heavy nature of the teaser, audiences may be preparing themselves for another potential chartbuster album with a dense and immersive sonic landscape.

The story follows an Indian undercover agent undertaking deep-cover operations within criminal and political structures in Karachi, Pakistan, touching upon historical incidents in South Asian geopolitics.

Beyond narrative considerations, the film’s significance lies in its industrial context. It marks Ranveer Singh’s return to a physically demanding, raw action space after a phase dominated by stylised or ensemble-driven projects.
The franchise also underscores Bollywood’s shift towards director-led action cinema, prioritising tone, research and execution over formulaic spectacle. The second part of the franchise is set to hit theatres on March 19, 2026, where it will clash with the Yash-starrer Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups.
