Kriti Sanon delivers the most memorable performance in the film as Ally. She brings charm, confidence, and emotional maturity to the role, making her character both relatable and compelling.
Shahid Kapoor also performs effectively as a dependable and compassionate protagonist. His emotional monologue towards the climax stands out as one of the film’s strongest dramatic moments.
Despite a lively and entertaining first half, the story loses momentum after the interval.
The narrative gradually shifts into a lengthy melodrama that stretches the film’s runtime and reduces its overall impact.
Rashmika Mandanna’s character, Diya, is central to the conflict, but the writing surrounding her loyalty-testing plot often feels forced and difficult to believe. Some viewers may also find aspects of the character’s dialogue delivery less convincing.
Although ‘Cocktail 2’ succeeds in delivering visual appeal, music, and star power, it struggles to recreate the emotional intensity that made the original film memorable.
Fans of the first instalment may appreciate the glamour and scale, but many could feel that the sequel prioritises style over emotional substance.
