With Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal, Bobby Deol effectively portrayed a vicious adversary who elicited a thunderous reaction from the crowd. The actor was overcome by the overwhelming love that the audience had for both his role and the movie. After leaving the Mumbai film shoot, the actor was seen crying in a recent video that went viral on social media. Bobby Deol welcomed and conversed with the photographers as he was photographed leaving the screening. He thanked all of them. I really appreciate it. God has shown us great kindness. I’m seeing a lot of love for this movie. It seems as though I’m dreaming.
The actor could be seen crying and giving one of his teammates a hug later in the footage. When it was finally time to say farewell to the photographers positioned outside, a tearful Bobby Deol drove away from the arena.
Meanwhile, Animal, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, has joined the ₹100 crore club. According to a tweet by Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the film, which debuted on December 1, has made ₹67.27 crore (₹58.37 crore for the Hindi version + ₹8.90 crore for South Indian languages) on its second day of release. Day 2 box office receipts have even outpaced the first day’s total of ₹63.80 crore. The film, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna, has made ₹131.07 crore in total revenue.
Animal features an impressive ensemble cast, including Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Tripti Dimri, and Shakti Kapoor, who all play significant roles in addition to Ranbir and Rashmika.
In his post, Taran Adarsh wrote, “‘ANIMAL’ IS A BOXOFFICE MONSTER… Animals go wild on Day 2 [Sat] Metros, non-metros, mass pockets—the response is outstanding; it takes the 2-day total to over ₹ 100 crore.
