Bollywood singer Tulsi Kumar has launched her latest dance number, Shartaan, presenting a transformative phase in her musical journey. The track features a revamped vocal tone, freestyle-inspired choreography and an energetic fusion designed to resonate with contemporary pop audiences.
Composed by Abhijeet Srivastava with lyrics by Shayra, the song blends global pop sensibilities with an Indian pulse. The creators crafted Shartaan with an upbeat rhythm and a catchy hook to dominate playlists and offer listeners a vibrant, international experience.
Tulsi said she felt an inner push to evolve creatively, describing the song as a bold step into unexplored territory. She shared that every artist reaches a moment when they feel compelled to outgrow familiar patterns, and Shartaan became the turning point she needed.
According to Tulsi, the track allowed her to expand her artistic boundaries, from experimenting with a new dance style to discovering an unexpressed version of herself. She said Shartaan embodies the fire she had long wished to showcase, offering audiences a side of her that had remained unseen.
She described the experience as visually elevated and globally inspired while staying true to her identity. The shift, she added, was not subtle but loud, colourful and intensely expressive.
Directed by Ranju Varghese, the music video brings the song’s energy to life through a striking visual narrative. Set within a surreal, oversized dollhouse, the video explores themes of rebellion and self-assertion through shifting colours, dynamic moods and stylised movement.
Tulsi appears in four distinct looks, each reflecting a different facet of strength and resilience. As the storyline unfolds, the setting transforms to mirror a journey from betrayal to empowerment. This journey culminates in a powerful moment of self-claim.
The video features bold silhouettes, glossy textures and attitude-driven storytelling, adding a cinematic layer to the track’s already high-impact sound.
Bhushan Kumar and T-Series have presented Shartaan. The song is now available on all major streaming platforms and on the T-Series YouTube channel.
