In an effort to enhance road safety and save lives, megastar Amitabh Bachchan has joined hands with the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways.
This collaboration aims to raise awareness about crucial road safety measures and encourage responsible driving practices nationwide.
The initiative is part of the Ministry’s ongoing ‘Sadak Suraksha Abhiyaan’ (Road Safety Campaign), with Bachchan urging the public to adopt safer habits on the road.
The Bollywood icon shared a video on his Instagram account, urging his followers to take road safety seriously.
In his post, Bachchan wrote, “Together .. let’s make a difference and save lives #TheValueofLife @Ministry of Road Transport and Highways @NHAI #SadakSurakshaAbhiyaan #ParvaahKarengeSurakshitRahenge @OfficeOfNG.”

In the video, Bachchan further said, “Every breath is a gift; it is precious. Life on the road should not be gambled with. Do not walk or drive in your sleep, do not drive under the influence of alcohol, and do not speed on dangerous paths.”
His message further emphasizes the importance of being vigilant and responsible while on the road, as even small lapses can lead to tragic consequences.
Earlier this year, Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari launched the ‘Sadak Suraksha Abhiyaan 2025’ in Mumbai.
The event, titled ‘Suraksha Reloaded’, was organized by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI).
Gadkari, along with event attendees, took a pledge for road safety, highlighting the collective responsibility to foster empathy and awareness, especially among the youth.
The minister also engaged with school students from grades 9 to 12, educating them about the importance of road safety in building a safer future.
On the work front, Amitabh Bachchan continues to shine in the entertainment industry.
He recently appeared in the Rajinikanth-starrer Vettaiyan and will next star in the Hindi remake of The Intern alongside Deepika Padukone.
Additionally, Bachchan has Nag Ashwin’s Kalki 2 lined up in his future projects.
This collaboration between Amitabh Bachchan and the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways is a powerful step toward creating a safer road environment, further promoting responsible driving, and making a positive impact on road safety across the country.
