Aishwarya Faces Backlash
A day after Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan’s birthday, his daughter-in-law, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, extended her wishes to him on Instagram. Aishwarya shared an image featuring her daughter, Aaradhya, alongside Big B. This photo was taken during Amitabh Bachchan’s birthday celebrations at their residence, Jalsa, on Tuesday night. Notably, the image posted by Aishwarya was a cropped version of a larger picture that included Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Navya, Agastya, and Aaradhya. In the caption, Aishwarya wrote, “Always God Bless” and included several emojis.
The internet noticed the cropping and some expressed their opinions. An Instagram user commented on the picture, saying, “Why did you have to crop the other kids (Navya and Agastya) from the publicly available photo. If you wanted to post just Aaradhya and Big B’s photo, you could have used another one. It’s really tasteless.”
Here’s a look at Aishwarya’s post.
For reference, the original image was shared on Navya’s Instagram story, with the caption “Happy Birthday Nana.” It featured Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Navya, Agastya, and Aaradhya, all sharing smiles for the camera.
On Thursday morning, Shweta Bachchan shared the same picture on her own Instagram feed with the caption, “May you always be surrounded by love.”
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was also spotted in Amitabh Bachchan’s birthday video from Tuesday night. She was video calling her husband, Abhishek Bachchan, to show him the festive scene outside Jalsa at midnight. Abhishek, who was absent from the event, commented below the video, saying, “Yup, wifey showing me what’s going on” and added a wink emoji.
Notably, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan recently made waves at Paris Fashion Week, where she walked the ramp for L’Oreal alongside other international celebrities.
