About Adipurush
Saif Ali Khan plays Lankesh (Raavan), Kriti Sanon plays Janaki (Sita), and Prabhas plays Raghav (Ram). It is produced by T-Series’ Bhushan Kumar.
The bilingual 3D production, which debuted on Friday to considerable excitement, has drawn criticism for using slang. Manoj Muntashir, the film’s Hindi dialogue writer, said in a statement on
Sunday that the producers had chosen to “revise some of the dialogues” and that the revised lines would be included in the movie by this week.
AAM and BJP react
The Aam Aadmi Party objected to several words and scenes from the movie Adipursh on Saturday, saying they offended Hindu feelings and that the BJP had permitted it to be made for “cheap politics.”
Praveen Shankar Kapoor, a spokesman for the Delhi BJP, urged on Saturday that the Censor Board temporarily ban viewings of the movie for a re-examination of its “controversial” sequences and dialogue. On Saturday, there was a demonstration in the Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur district of Chhattisgarh calling for a nationwide ban on the screening of Adipurush, which the demonstrators alleged was a plot against Sanatan dharma.
