At Bellevue Hospital in the Andheri district of Mumbai, actor Shreyas Talpade underwent angioplasty on Friday after suffering a heart attack on Thursday night. According to hospital officials, he is in stable condition and doing well.
The hospital reported that the actor was doing well and that the surgery had been successful.
“He was admitted late in the evening and the procedure happened at around 10 pm. He is now doing fine and should be discharged in a few days,” the hospital said.
Shreyas Talpade reportedly fainted following his Mumbai shoot due to a heart attack. After filming ‘Welcome To Jungle’ on Thursday night, he was taken to the hospital immediately due to complaints of uneasiness.
Talpade, 47, is a well-known actor from Marathi and Hindi films. His portrayal of a disabled athlete in the 2005 movie “Iqbal,” which also starred Naseeruddin Shah, got him fame. Before making his breakthrough with Iqbal, Shreyas Talpade gained popularity in Marathi plays and TV series. He has appeared in several critically acclaimed movies like Dor as well as box office hits like Om Shanti Om, Golmaal Returns, and Housefull 2.
Regarding his career, Shreyas Talpade will next be seen in a film directed by Kangana Ranaut playing role of India’s former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
