Actor Saharsh Kumar Shukla released three productions this year.

Saharsh Kumar Shukla, an actor most known for playing Bevda in the 2019 film Chhichhore, says he is not waiting for a big role, but rather accepting assignments as they come up.

The UPite states, “I continue to work according to the same method I followed following my graduation from the Film and Television Institute of India, Pune: I take on tasks when they present themselves and complete them honestly. No matter how long a 40-day program or a single day of work is, meri mehnat, samarpan, and shhiddat mein koi kami nahi rahti hai.

“Jo meri paristhiyan hain usmein meri choices banane ki sthithi nahi hai,” clarifies Shukla. I don’t have the luxury of choosing my jobs, turning down projects, and waiting for the right opportunity to present itself because of my financial situation. For foreigners like us, this is the only means of surviving in this city and this industry.

The Rangbaaz (2022) actor was born in a village close to Rae Bareli and relocated to Lucknow in 2001. “Before entering FTII, I completed my degree and built my theater foundation. 2011 saw my relocation to Mumbai. My struggle was to live, and I did what my elders advised and told them that I am a professional actress who works in this field. Thus, making decisions was not necessary.

According to Shukla, little parts can lead to major breakthroughs. “I spoke with Nawaz (actor Uddin Siddiqui), and he also suggested that I should continue working, whether it be on minor or large jobs. It will get you noticed, and who knows how it could lead to anything significant. Because of my tiny role in Talvar (2015), I was approached by filmmaker Vishal (Bhardwaj) sir to work on Rangoon (2015). Despite my strong performance, the movie was a failure. Though the movie didn’t succeed, Bachchhan Pandey (2022) had a good role as well. I am only capable of acting…I have to rely on something else for my income.

The actor acknowledges that although Chhichhore greatly increased his audience recognition, it had little effect on his career. “I worked on a lot of projects, and they are gradually coming out. This year, Haddi, Mandali, and Lakeerein were my three releases. I’ve finished Imamdasta by Rizwan Siddiqui and Bidi Bakda by Gajendra Ahire, in which I play the lead role. Aside from that, I had good roles in the films Awasthi vs. Awasthi (directed by Pawan Wadeyar), Kartavya (starring Pulkit), Section 108 (starring Rashik Khan), and Kaboom (starring Shantanu Ray).
