PM Modi To Karnataka Voters: “Wipe Out Congress in Lok Sabha Polls”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a scathing critique against the Congress-led government in Karnataka on Monday, accusing it of plunging the state into financial ruin through relentless corruption. Speaking at a rally in Shivamogga, PM Modi called upon the people of Karnataka to ensure a resounding victory for the BJP-led NDA in all 28 constituencies in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. He vehemently urged the electorate to eradicate the Congress from the state’s political landscape.

PM Modi lambasted the Congress, alleging that its leaders have pillaged Karnataka since assuming power. He criticized them for their propensity to propagate falsehoods, highlighting the numerous chief ministerial aspirants within the Karnataka Congress who incessantly blame his government for their own failures. PM Modi particularly singled out a “shadow” CM and a “collection” CM in New Delhi, insinuating that they were scheming to wrest control. He implored the people of Karnataka to vote decisively against the Congress in the upcoming general elections.

Highlighting the pivotal role of Shivamogga in the BJP’s rise in the state, PM Modi praised former Chief Minister Yediyurappa for his instrumental role in strengthening the party’s grassroots presence. Expressing confidence in the BJP’s prospects, PM Modi urged Karnataka’s electorate to contribute to the NDA’s success by securing victory in all 28 constituencies.

PM Modi also rallied support with the slogan ‘4 June ko, 400 paar’, emphasizing the necessity of securing 400 seats to realize the vision of a developed India and Karnataka.

Meanwhile, in Shivamogga, former Karnataka CM BS Yediyurappa’s son, BY Raghavendra, is contesting the Lok Sabha elections. However, reports suggest discontent among BJP ranks, particularly from former minister Eshwarappa, who is allegedly considering running as an independent candidate. The BJP leadership is reportedly working to persuade Eshwarappa to remain within the party fold to avoid a split in the Lingayat vote base, crucial in Shivamogga. With the BJP having already announced 20 candidates in Karnataka, including the dropping of several incumbent MPs, the political landscape in the state is poised for intense contestation.
