Toyota Fortuner has solidified its position as a dominant SUV in the Indian market.
The company announced that the Fortuner and its premium variant, the Legender, have achieved a combined sales milestone of 3 lakh units in India since their launch.
Introduced in 2009, the Fortuner has consistently performed well. On average, nearly 50 units are sold daily.
Known for its rugged build and off-road capability, the Fortuner features a 2.8L diesel engine that produces 204 Hp and 500 Nm of torque.
Its ladder-frame chassis, 4×4 drivetrain, and bold design continue to attract adventure seekers and driving enthusiasts.
Launched in 2021, the Legender offers a more premium package. It includes features like dual-tone styling, sequential LED turn indicators, wireless charging, and an 11-speaker JBL audio system.
With advanced 4X4 capabilities, the Legender caters to urban drivers who enjoy occasional off-road excursions.
Mr Varinder Wadhwa, Vice President at Toyota Kirloskar Motor, thanked loyal customers for their trust.
He highlighted that the Fortuner and Legender embody Toyota’s QDR (Quality, Durability, and Reliability) philosophy.
