IIT Bombay’s Techfest 2024, Asia’s largest science and technology festival, began on Tuesday. The event, based on the theme ‘Sustainnovative Sentience,’ will run until December 19. Jeet Adani, Director of Adani Airport Holdings Limited, delivered the inaugural address and highlighted the importance of innovation and sustainable development.

The festival showcases cutting-edge technology from around the world. Competitions such as Robovars, the Drone Show, and an E-Sports Tournament are drawing huge participation. A special presentation, “Technoholics,” is blending technology with entertainment, captivating attendees.
On Day 2, Velumani Arokiaswamy, Founder of Thyrocare, will deliver the keynote address. Final rounds of Robovars and other competitions will follow. Day 3 will feature the finals of major competitions, a closing speech by ISRO scientist A. Rajarajan, and a grand drone show.
Several notable figures are addressing the event, including Dr. Sameer V. Kamat, Chairman of DRDO; A. Rajarajan, Director of Satish Dhawan Space Center, ISRO; Jeet Adani; and former Chief Justice of India N.V. Ramana.
Techfest 2024 is a unique platform exploring new directions in science, technology, and innovation while inspiring the next generation of innovators.
