Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin is set to lead a high-profile delegation to Davos and Spain this month, aiming to attract foreign investments to the state. Minister for Industries TRB Rajaa announced that besides Europe, the Chief Minister will also visit the United States and Australia later in the year to showcase Tamil Nadu as an appealing investment destination. This initiative aligns with Stalin’s previous trips abroad, including visits to the United Arab Emirates, Singapore, and Japan since assuming office in May 2021.
During the valedictory session of the two-day Global Investors Meet 2024, Minister Rajaa highlighted the upcoming tours to Davos and Spain, scheduled for later this month. Stalin, in his address at the event, emphasized the significance of his prior international visits, citing that these visits resulted in investments totaling Rs 7,441 crore and the creation of 17,371 job opportunities.

The inaugural edition of the Global Investors Meet organized by the DMK government garnered significant investment commitments amounting to Rs 6.64 lakh crore from various multinational corporations. These commitments are expected to generate approximately 26.90 lakh job opportunities in Tamil Nadu, reflecting the state government’s dedication to fostering economic growth and attracting substantial investments.
