Richard Chen, Director General (DG) of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Centre (TECC) in Chennai, reiterated Taiwan’s strong commitment to India, emphasizing its role as a trusted partner in India’s industrial transformation.
Speaking at IMTEX 2025, a prominent global machine tool event in Bengaluru, Chen highlighted Taiwan’s alignment with India’s Make in India initiative.
Chen stated, “India’s manufacturing sector is a global leader in machinery, automotive, and defense. It is undergoing a remarkable transformation with Industry 4.0 and IoT. Taiwan is proud to be a trusted partner in this journey, offering advanced automation and machine tool solutions that enhance efficiency and align with the Make in India initiative.”
At IMTEX 2025, Taiwan is showcasing cutting-edge products from top Taiwanese brands, aimed at empowering Indian manufacturers. “Together, Taiwan and India share a vision of progress through innovation, driving advancements in machinery and automation for a brighter future,” Chen added.
Chen further explained that the technologies presented at IMTEX 2025 are specifically designed to address the evolving demands of India’s manufacturing sector. These solutions focus on enhanced precision, automation, and sustainability—key factors that drive growth in the industry.
“By providing state-of-the-art equipment, we aim to empower Indian manufacturers to compete on a global scale, fostering a shared future of innovation and economic progress,” Chen said, emphasizing Taiwan’s role in supporting India’s industrial ambitions.
Taiwan’s long-term goal is to solidify its position as a global leader in innovation. “We aim to foster meaningful partnerships with Indian manufacturers and contribute to the growth of India’s manufacturing industry,” Chen stated.
He added that Taiwan’s transformative machine tool technologies are designed to inspire a new era of industrial excellence and collaboration between Taiwan and India.
M.G. Balakrishna, President of the Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FKCCI), expressed enthusiasm about the potential collaboration between industry associations like FKCCI and Taiwan Excellence. Balakrishna highlighted the importance of knowledge exchange, joint ventures, and opportunities to drive industrial growth and innovation in India.
“The cutting-edge tools unveiled today will help Indian companies enhance operational efficiency, improve product quality, and adopt sustainable practices,” Balakrishna said. “These advancements will enable Indian manufacturers to stay competitive in the dynamic global market.”
