Stock market closed: Market closed with the Biggest fall in Intraday after March 7, 2022

Stock market closed: Drastic decline was seen in the market on the last trading day of the week. The market witnessed the biggest intraday fall since March 7, 2022, with the Sensex closing at 59,331, down nearly 1.45%. The Nifty closed at 17,604 with a decline of 287 points. Nifty Bank closed down to 1302 points at 40,345. Buying was seen in 6 stocks of Sensex while selling was seen in 24. In the Nifty-50, buying was seen in 12 stocks while selling was seen in 37. 1 stock showed no effect. Meanwhile, all 12 stocks of NIFTY Bank stocks closed in the red. Midcap and Smallcap stocks closed with heavy losses. The energy, metal index closed down about 5%. Auto, Pharma closed with slight gains in the index.
